Real Wedding Review 💍 Brandon + Brianna

We chose September, Friday the 13th, 2024 as our wedding day because it was the perfect day for our dark and moody theme. We were married on the Mississippi River at Pettibone Resort and had our reception there as well. It was important for us to be on the water as my husband and I have spent our years together here. Our day was more than we could have imagined! Our vendors went above and beyond, the guests all wore black and brought the party, and the food and drinks were delicious. The weather was warm with a gentle breeze all day, and the sunset was something out of a movie. The amount of love we felt from all of our family and friends is something I cannot put into words. It is still surreal how glorious our day was and we are so grateful for all of those who were apart of it.
Jordana Snyder Photography · I knew whenever we were going to get married, Jordana was the one I wanted. I could tell by her posts and journal entries that she was passionate about her work and would do anything to make the day perfect for her couples and families. Her communication via phone or email was always timely. She took the time to write our wedding day timeline which I gave to all of the other vendors and my personal attendant and day of coordinator. Wedding day, Jordana was on top of it. She was funny, persistent and creative. She eased my nerves and made me feel beautiful and became a great friend. Russel, her husband, was able to be the second shooter and he was attentive to the littlest of details and was taming my out of control veil. I have nothing but great things to say and could write a novel. If you are looking for someone who cares and will take the time to make you and your spouse feel special, Jordana is your girl!
Pettibone Resort · From the beginning, Kristin and her staff have been more than amazing. During our initial tour, Kristin’s enthusiasm for her job and the venue was apparent. That meant so much to myself, my husband, and our parents. Communication over the year and a half leading up to the wedding was always timely. She always returned emails and phone calls. She was flexible with meeting times and really helped with our vision of the day. Kristin was also very hands on the day of the wedding helping with set up of decor, the altar, timing during the ceremony, and during dinner! The resort itself is stunning! It fit right in with our dark and moody theme, and the view of the river from the altar was everything we could have dreamed. The space is not crowded, plenty of room outside and inside for guests. Plenty of different areas for photo ops too! The bathrooms are clean, the bridal suite has everything you, your girls, and the MUA’S need. The bartenders are quick and friendly. We had the best day. Kristin and her staff made sure all went smoothly. We cannot thank them enough!
Sugar Coated Desserts · ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My husband wanted breakfast-flavored cupcakes that tasted like pancakes. Nicole came up with the best recipe. First bite tastes like a pancake and then you get a hint of smoked bacon. She had little dials of maple syrup with them. We ordered 200 cupcakes, with three flavors. It was so easy and convenient and her communication was fast and on time!
Ali Lou Events · Louise and her daughter are the reason our wedding vision was able to come to life. They have everything you could dream of from dinnerware to linens to furniture and so much more. From day one, Louise was so attentive and caring and her passion was beyond measure. She was easy to talk with and patient when I changed our vision more than once and gave much needed realistic insight. She always answered my phone calls or emails or texts. She was timely and very flexible with everything. Not to mention AFFORDABLE. This is the place to get all your decor and anything else for your day!
Rose’s Flower Cart · The moment I gave her a call we clicked immediately. She is kind and very patient. We did an initial video call talking about our vision for our flowers and theme. She was always in constant contact updating me on the progress of the florals and sending me pictures of her different ideas. I went to her workshop 3 times and we worked together to find the perfect shade and design of the florals. I even brought the bridesmaids dress to help with color matching. She was very patient with me and kind and easy to talk to.The day of the wedding she drove to our venue and helped set up the altar and the centerpieces. She is very hands on and has the biggest heart. She is also very affordable, which was important for us. I recommend her 1000 times!
Pogy’s Catering · The food was the talk of the night! We had appetizers for our cocktail hour and a buffet style dinner. The food was always hot, fresh, and delicious. Communication from our tasting until the week of was always timely. Every phone call, email, question was always answered. We set up pickup time for our leftovers the next day, and surprisingly we had very little! We were told many people went up for seconds, which made us so incredibly happy. The serving staff were incredible. They were polite, efficient, and very hard working. The
entire dinner went by smoothly and flawlessly.
DJ Brettly · I heard of Brettly through a mutual friend who had him at their wedding. My husband and I reached out to him for our wedding, and he was excited from the start! We had very long conversations with him over time about what we wanted and his passion for his work is infectious. His communication is fast and I never had to wait long for a reply. Brettly is funny and authentically himself. He took the time to set up a playlist for our wedding with us, and met all of our requests. Brettly was the talk of the night at our wedding. The dance floor NEVER emptied. He transitioned so well and just kept up the vibes all night. He worked with my father for our live stream and audio. I cannot recommend him enough.
The Wedding Tree · Our entire wedding party used The Wedding Tree for their attire. Their professionalism and expertise made the entire appointment enjoyable. I brought my bridesmaids back so we could try on different styles of gowns and see different shades of maroon and burgundy. The consultants were funny, professional, and efficient. They were honest about how the gowns looked and fit and the best fabric for the vision we had for our wedding day. The ordering process was simple. My husband brought his groomsmen and said the consultants were very knowledgeable and helpful with all the questions they had. I was so very impressed how well my bridesmaids dresses matched with the groomsmen, because my biggest stressor was finding the correct shade of burgundy for our day. All the staff went above and beyond for myself, my husband, and our wedding party. Communication was easy and responses were fast and professional. I recommend them to anyone!
Parlour 15 · My trial was amazing. I started to cry seeing the magic they could pull off. Katrina and Brooke are so easy to talk to, funny, and in my opinion, bad-ass. The day of the wedding they showed up ready to have fun and made myself and all my ladies STUNNING. Nothing but high praise for their artistry, care, and the ease of communication. Brooke is the most professional owner and makes sure the day will run smoothly. Our hair and makeup lasted perfectly all day and night!
