Real Wedding Review 💍 Mandi & Lloyd

Emily Jean Photography

We were introduced to Emily by a friend who had used her previously. This was the first vendor we looked at and weren’t really sure what we were looking for. After overstaying our welcome at our first meeting with Emily, we knew she was the perfect fit for us. She wanted to get to know us and understand us as a couple so she could serve us to the best of her abilities. We felt so comfortable after leaving our meeting with Emily that it really kicked us into high gear to plan and book the rest of our vendors! Emily and her assistant Ben were so organized which really helped maintain our timeline and our massive wedding party and families when it came to picture time!

Primitive Parlor

It’s easy to trust Levi, at Primitive Parlor, based on his experience and work ethic. As soon as you sit in his chair you know he’s going to take care of you. His ability to blend, fade and texture is spectacular. He explains the details and he’s the only barber I trust with a straight razor in their hands cleaning up my neckline. He’s got the perfect blend of new school flavor mixed with old school values.

The Wedding Tree

Every little girl dreams of her beautiful wedding dress she is going to wear someday. My dream was something very simple; fitted on top and flowy through the midsection and to the floor, with a little poof. That all changed when I met with Kathy! She helped pull some amazing things that I would have never picked myself, and ended up falling in love with! I kept my dress at The Wedding Tree and had my alterations done by Cathy, on site. She was AMAZING! She helped me really make my dress my own. Cathy was so easy to work with and really helped me feel at ease with, what seemed like, one of the biggest decisions of our whole wedding!

Bittersweet Flower Market

The ladies at Bittersweet were awesome to work with. We didn’t have much planned for our fresh flowers but knew we wanted to incorporate them into our centerpieces. After giving them a call and describing what we were thinking, they completely made our visions come to life! We wanted to keep it simple but elegant and that’s exactly what they did.

Pogy’s Catering

Getting married during a pandemic came with many challenges, but the food was definitely at the top of that list. We originally sat down and planned a very elegant, platted, dinner for 300 guests. That quickly changed after having to reschedule and

adjust our numbers drastically. Everyone at Pogy’s was so wonderful and willing to work with us to create a new menu that consisted of seven different appetizers that appealed to a variety of pallets. To this day we still have people talking about the Mac and Cheese we served!

Crumbtastic Cakery

Cake was one of the harder decisions we had to make. Having very different sweet tooth cravings we couldn’t agree on a cake. This is where Cara came in. She offers ENDLESS varieties of cakes without the hidden costs. We had 4 different sheet cake

options for our guests along with a cut cake that we incorporated both our favorite flavors into. The look of Cara’s cakes had us intrigued, but the tastes sold us on the spot! Cara even delivered our cakes to the reception hall and got everything setup for us so it was one less thing we had to worry about the day of!

AmericInn/Moxie’s

Kaley and Jess are top-notch and definitely people you want in on your wedding planning! These ladies made wedding planning so stress-free, even during a pandemic and having to reschedule. Kaley would check in with us monthly, sometimes weekly, as things changed or got closer to our big day. Jess helped execute the last-minute relocation of our ceremony space to the patio at Moxie’s, flawlessly. If you have ever considered getting married outside and have never seen this space, put it on your list! The view of the water and the amazing sunset

pictures you get on the beach are breathtaking! We later moved inside to the banquet hall for dinner and dancing. It was so nice to be able to stay in one place for the majority of the day and not have to worry about transporting a large wedding party around town. The convenience of having the hotel right down the hall was an even bigger bonus not only for our guests, but it allowed the whole wedding party to get ready onsite as well!
